This is Sh2-132, better known as the Lion Nebula. Around 10,000 light-years away, this giant Ha region glows with hydrogen and oxygen, energized by fierce Wolf–Rayet stars at its core. Their powerful stellar winds sculpt the nebula’s intricate shapes, giving rise to the lion-like form that inspired its nickname.
