NGC 2237, the Rosetta Nebula, is located in the constellation of the Unicorn about 5,200 light years from us. It is an emission region about 130 light years wide, modelled by the radiation of the young stars of the NGC 2244 cluster. Ionised gas, composed of hydrogen, oxygen and sulphur, draws complex and detailed shapes that, as a whole, resemble a gigantic cosmic rose.
