is a faint complex of molecular clouds and dark nebulae situated in the constellation Cepheus, approximately 600–4,000 light-years from Earth. A dark nebula is a vast, dense cloud of cold gas and interstellar dust that blocks visible light by absorbing and scattering the light from the stars behind it. Due to its jagged shapes, this cloud of gas and dust is often called the ‘Fighting Dragons’ Nebula and is considered one of the faintest nebulae in the entire Lynds catalogue.
