In this field, photographed on June 18, 19, and 20, 2026, we can see most of the different types of nebulae found in space: reflection, emission, dark, and interstellar dust. In particular, the red and cyan nebula at the upper right is a planetary nebula (SH2-68) located in the constellation Serpens, about 1,000 light-years from our solar system.
The larger bluish nebula (on the left) is a reflection nebula (VDB 123), and in the center we can see very dense dust that blocks out the light from the stars behind it.
