The beautiful Angel Nebula (NGC 2170)
A reflection nebula in the constellation Monoceros, located about 2,700 light-years away in the Monoceros R2 star-forming region.
NGC 2170 spans roughly 10–15 light-years across and shines by reflecting the light of nearby young, hot stars rather than emitting its own.
The dark lanes are dense dust clouds, while the blue glow highlights regions where new stars are forming.
This was captured over several nights using my remote telescope in Texas.
