NGC 6729 (also known as C 68) is a reflection nebula visible in the constellation Corona Australis. The nebula can be found on the line connecting the stars γ Coronae Australis and ε Coronae Australis, both of fifth magnitude. The region of sky between the two stars appears heavily obscured by interstellar dust, against which several bright nebulae stand out, such as NGC 6726 and NGC 6727. The NGC 6729 nebula is the smallest in the group in terms of size, but it is recognisable by its distinctly triangular shape, which is brighter at one vertex, making it resemble a comet. Its brightness is variable, a characteristic that makes it resemble, in addition to its shape, NGC 2261, Hubble's Variable Nebula. The globular cluster NGC 6723 can also be seen in the same field of view.
Second photo taken by itex_observatory. The main difficulty with this shot was its low altitude, which never exceeded 24° in the Texas sky. The magnificent sky where our equipment is located helped to make this photo possible. What I am showing you is my personal interpretation, following my well-established workflow.
