Every now and then I feel like doing something simple but always end up complicating my life. The Rosetta nebula is a great winter sky classic and you see many narrowband versions of it with lots of signal. I wanted to do something different and shot it entirely in wideband, albeit from a city sky. I don't mind the end result at all, despite the fact that there is not a lot of rye, and I hope you like it too.
The Rosetta Nebula (also known as NGC 2237 or C 49) is a large emission region located in the constellation Unicorn. At the centre of the nebula is a bright open cluster, known as NGC 2244, whose blue stars emit ultraviolet radiation that excites the gas in the nebula, which in turn emits light.
