[No Dark-Corne] Clear Sky Filter

Optolong Clear Sky Filter is the first new item in 2017 from Optolong Optics Co.,Ltd.Clear Sky blocks the city Na and Hg light pollution so that improve contrast effectively. The main point of this filter that differ with other filter, its front facing,77mm, you can twist it in front of camera lens directly like UV lens.

H-Beta 12nm Light Pollution Filter

  • Use with a large aperture telescope under clear and dark viewing conditions with good seeing
  • Suitable for viewing on the faint and elusive Horsehead Nebula and California Nebula
  • Narrowband filter do not eliminate the effects of light pollution or increase the object’s brightness. In many cases, they increase the contrast between nebula and night sky, not brightening the nebula.

O-III 25nm Light Pollution Filter

  • Suitable for visual observation on most emission nebulae, planetary nebulae and supernova remnants
  • Suitable for viewing on bright nebulae like M42 Orion Nebula in heavy light pollution
  • Use with a large aperture telescope under clear and dark viewing conditions with good seeing

UHC Light Pollution Filter

  • Suitable for color CCD cameras and unmodified DSLRs
  • UHC with narrower passband provides higher contrast than CLS. Thus it is more suitable for urban environment where you suffer from severe light pollution.
  • UHC has a substantial red passband and offer superb views for objects like the Orion Nebula (M42)
  • Light pollution filter do not eliminate the effects of light pollution or increase the object’s brightness. In many cases, they increase the contrast between nebula and night sky, not brightening the nebula.

CLS-CCD Light Pollution Filter

  • CLS-CCD is different from CLS with infrared wavelength 700-1100nm cut-off
  • Fit with color CCD cameras and modified DSLRs for astrophotography
  • Work well on most emission nebulae, planetary nebulae and supernova remnants
  • Noticeable boost in contrast and visibility of the fainter outer detail

CLS Light Pollution Filters

  • Suitable for color CCD cameras and unmodified DSLRs
  • CLS with wider pass-band than UHC and hence is more favored when observing under mild to moderate light pollution
  • Light pollution filter do not eliminate the effects of light pollution or increase the object’s brightness. In many cases, they increase the contrast between nebula and night sky, not brightening the nebula.

Broadband Filter L-Pro

  • Fit with CCD cameras and DSLRs
  • Work well on most emission nebulae, reflection nebulae and dark nebulae
  • Suitable for visual observation and astrophotography
  • L-Pro filter has a very low transmission reduction rate against continuous spectrum space objects, and thus is quite effective in suppressing light pollution sources when shooting galaxies, reflection nebulae and globular star clusters. The same holds true for visual star observations.

Venus-U Planetary Filter

  • Use with monochrome CCD cameras and you need to remove the cover glass of sensor and internal UV-IR blocker in order to pass UV light. The same holds true for mono DSLRs that its built-in low pass filter needs to be removed. What’s more, you need a special UV lens together with camera body. The sensor of CCD or CMOS cameras is capable of detecting light in the 350-1100nm range.
  • Act as an outstanding dust shield, which prevents the possibility of dust settling on the lens during long time exposure.
